For the second season running, mountune have been chosen to work alongside the BRSCC and their scrutineers to help ensure an even playing field for competitors in the Ford Fiesta Championship, also incorporating the supporting Junior class.
With an extensive knowledge of the mk6 Fiesta ST and Mk7 Fiesta 1.6 Zetec S, their ECU's and calibrations from the years spent developing our highly-acclaimed MP165, MP185 and MP140 upgrade kits, our experience and neutrality put mountune in pole position for the role.
Our engineers supplied a calibration to enhance performance but that crucially, also works as a controlled upgrade to be utilised by all competitors using a Mk6 Fiesta. Flashed onto every car at the opening round of the season, this can then be checked at any point during subsequent race meetings by our track support team, helping to ensure an even playing field for all competitors.

mountune powered Andy Yan won his first Super Cup 2.0T race at the Nanjing Wantrack Circuit this weekend, with his team-mates Martin Cao, Rainey He and Dan Wells taking 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions.
The first two laps of this race were led by the safety car due to the rainy conditions before the UK's Dan Wells, who started the race in pole position, was passed by his three Chinese team-mates with Rainey He having a brief clash with Martin Cao on lap eight and falling to fourth, but he recovered to third in the latter part of the race.

mountune powered Motorbase Performance celebrated a fantastic double win and podium during this weekends rounds on the UK’s fastest racing circuit, Thruxton.
There were early signs of a strong weekend during Saturday morning’s free practice sessions with both Motorbase Focus STs showing excellent pace at the top of the timing sheets. Qualifying sadly didn’t produce the same results and both Jordan and Jackson were left somewhat deflated ending the session in P8 and P14 respectively.
However, AJ immediately showed his intent as Sunday’s first race got underway, charging off the line in his mountune powered Focus ST to take MG pair Sutton and Cook as they entered the first corner. A frantic race ensued as the laps unfolded with Jordan’s Pirtek-backed Focus managing to avoid the chaos as the lead pack battled - trading positions and paintwork along the way. Having managed to work his way up into the top 10 in spite of carrying 39kg of ballast, Jackson’s charge was regrettably cut short with a spectacular puncture as the #7 Focus headed into Club on lap 10. Despite a perfectly executed pit-stop by the Motorbase crew, DUO-backed Jackson had to re-join at the back of the pack and could only muster a P21 finish. Jordan meanwhile managed to avoid a huge race-ending melee involving the lead pack on lap 11, taking full advantage of the opportunity to move the #77 Focus up into 3rd to claim his maiden podium for the Motorbase-run squad.
With race officials and Dunlop announcing new race distances shortened to 12 laps for the remaining two races, Jordan made his first move for the lead from lights out. Moving past Ingram’s Toyota to take 2nd Jordan then set his sights on race leader Morgan whilst fending off challenges from Collards’ lighter BMW. With 57kgs of ballast on-board, Jordan played the long-game keeping the pressure on Morgan whilst preserving his tyres before making his move on the Mercedes on lap 11 to take the race lead securing his first race win since joining the Motorbase squad and his first race win since 2014. An outstanding performance from Jackson saw the #7 Focus make up an incredible 12 places on the grid, earning the 35-year-old an impressive 8th place finish and further points for the Motorbase championship campaign.
The reverse grid draw for the final race of the day resulted in a front row start for Jackson in P2 with team-mate Jordan dropping into P9 with 75kg on-board. Jackson stormed off the line and straight past Welch to steal the race lead with the #7 Focus controlling the race to the chequered flag; collecting a 2nd race win of the weekend for the Motorbase squad and Jackson’s 2nd of the season. Unfortunately a reverse of fortunes for Jordan in the final race ended on a low point with the #77 Focus picking up a rear puncture on lap 7 eventually crossing the line in P21.
Motorbase Performance leaves Thruxton in a strengthened Championship position having extended its lead in the Independents Teams Standings and closed the gap on the Overall Teams Standings, while Jordan has moved into 2nd in the Independent Drivers Championship with Jackson close behind in 3rd and 4th in the Overall Drivers’ Standings. The mountune team look forward to the BTCC returning in four weeks’ time for rounds 10, 11 & 12 at Oulton Park on June 4/5.

Today marks the release of the first phase of mountune Mk3 Focus RS performance upgrades, all of which are available to purchase from both mountunestore and mountuneusa now!
This initial phase features a selection of easy first-off modifications to improve induction noise and performance, provide shorter gear-shifts, inhibit excessive engine movement and allow interior and exterior personalisation.
As with all mountune products, these parts have been extensively tested to ensure perfect fitment, function and reliability.
With early access to development mules, calibrations and strategies, the range of upgrades and performance parts soon to be available from mountune is extensive to say the least. We're sure you'll agree too, as you follow our phased product launches.
Where's the MP power upgrade?!
The new Focus RS MK3 is one of the most exciting and dynamically advanced Ford road cars, and wears the coveted RS badge with pride. Our engineering programme to reliably extract more power and torque, whilst ensuring proper interaction with all of the cars dynamic modes, suspension and launch control has necessitated an extended durability Sign-Off.
The kit has been finalised after tens of thousands of mileage accumulation, data collection and high-speed work at the Nürburgring. However, as our final Sign-Off is not yet complete, the kit contents, cost and power figures cannot be confirmed at this time – they may still be subject to change, even at this late stage.
What we can share with you is that the power and torque improvements are very noticeable, as is the reduction in 0-60mph time and other performance attributes.
The MP kit, including its contents and all of the surrounding information we know you’re eagerly awaiting, will be revealed in the final phase of our RS launch, at which point it will be immediately available to purchase and have installed.
In the meantime, we invite you to watch our Phase 1 video below and if you didn't sign up to our Racing Line newsletter and missed the exclusive first-look at our exciting new RS performance parts catalogue, worry not as you'll be able to see it for yourself soon. Keep an eye on our blog / social channels to make sure you don't miss it!
