For the sixth consecutive year, the mountune team have taken top billing as the headline sponsor for FordFair, unarguably the biggest Ford social outing for any European Blue Oval enthusiast.
With around 20,000 visitors and 4,000 cars being exhibited, it's not hard to see why it's such a must-visit event... and is one that the whole team look forward to being a part of.
As in previous years, the mountune stand was packed with some of the best Fiesta's, Focus' and Mustang's out there, which combined with a host of new product releases, an on-site fitting service, show special offers and of course, goodybags, made it a big crowd draw throughout the day... or at least until the ridiculously hot sunshine took its toll on showgoers and forced them into an early retreat!
A host of new products were debuted at the show, with some able to be taken home on the day. In case you missed what's new, or didn't make it to the show, see the full listing below:
- Mk3 Focus ST diesel m460D power upgrade - 200PS /460Nm
- Mk3 Focus RS triple-pass alloy radiator
- Mk3 Focus RS carbon rear spoiler lip
- Mk7 Fiesta ST breather kit
- Mk3 Focus RS Edition coloured induction hose sets
- Mk3 Focus RS forged engine drive-in, drive-out rebuild
In addition to the products above, the team were pleased to be able to showcase two exclusive new Quaife sequential gearbox upgrade options for Mk2 Focus ST/RS customers and Mk3 Focus RS owners alike.
These units utilise the OE gearbox where possible, including the bell-housing to allow easy installation. mountune are currently integrating these units into both models as part of a global integration product development initiative... the anticipated results are nothing short of phenomenal, both in terms of shifting performance, but also due to having options for both straight-cut and also helical gears.
More news on both vehicle options will be made available, soon.
Whilst there's a lot to see that's not moving at FordFair, it's safe to say that the Silverstone also offers a great venue to get out in your own car and use it in anger, too!
mountune held an exclusive customer-only track session for all core upgrade kit owners. As ever, everyone enjoyed being alongside likeminded owners in similarly performing Fiesta and Focus... not forgetting the odd Mustang, like our Spec 2 Mustang RTR, driven by BTCC and driving talent, Sam Tordoff.
Sam not only helped meet and greet customers all morning on the mountune stand, he also gave some competition winners, hot-laps of the National circuit that they're unlikely to forget in a hurry. Thanks for being an honorary member of the team Sam!
As if there weren't enough high-profile Focus RS at the show, we were also pleased to host YouTube sensation Shmee150's Red Edition Focus RS. Due to Gumball commitments, Shmee (real name, Tim), couldn't make it, but his car certainly attracted a lot of attention throughout the day - we've got some big plans for this car, together with Tim, so watch this space as it evolves and gets even wilder!
Our own development RS was also present, sporting its latest Carbon Fibre-based additions. The rear spoiler, combined with our new spoiler lip resulted in a quite stunning rear aesthetic, but it was the wider, vented, front wings that stole most of the admiring glances.
These, plus plenty more carbon parts will be available to order in the next month.
It's only just hit Ford dealership's across the UK, but the Mk8 Fiesta ST is already going down a storm, and mountune had their latest development car on show sporting a host of the new products on the way for Ford's latest hot hatch owners.
Ford have once again produced a fantastic, fun-packed Fiesta, which with subtle additions is transformed into something even more special.

built by mountune with Ford UK
Marking the end of two years of the current (C346) Focus RS - and 50 years of Ford RallyeSport, mountune were enlisted to help build one of three Focus RS cars; the EVO being the ultimate evolution of the 2017/18 RS Editions.
The vehicles all feature a comprehensive selection of upgraded parts throughout, including a mountune-built engine with forged internals, induction kit, cast intake manifold, alloy intercooler, sports exhaust and calibration producing 400PS and 560Nm.
Chassis upgrades have also been included with a Quaife ATB, lowered sport suspension, lightweight brakes, and more.
Meanwhile, the exterior benefits from 9x19” fifteen52 3pc Holeshot RSR wheels, a carbon fibre rear spoiler lip and vented bonnet - to aid engine bay cooling and further enhance the striking exterior aesthetics.
FordFair marked the vehicle’s first public debut, following a prototype debut to Ford employees last month. Two will be sold after final spec sign-off and testing by Ford Performance, with the third being retained by FMC.
